Portuguese National Grid Initiative - Grid Infrastructure

The Portuguese National Grid Initiative operates a grid computing infrastructure (INGRID) for demanding scientific applications. The infrastructure includes computing resources from many organizations of the Portuguese research and academic system.

This infrastructure is integrated in the Iberian Grid Initiative (IBERGRID) which provides a common technical and administrative framework for the joint Portuguese and Spanish participation in the European Grid Initiative (EGI).

The Portuguese National Grid Initiative managed by the Portuguese Knowledge Society Agency UMIC.

The technical coordination of the infrastructure is performed by LIP.
