Portuguese National Distributed Computing Infrastructure

INCD provides ICT services to the Portuguese scientific and academic communities in all domains. The infrastructure is especially suited to provide scientific computing services supporting the participation in national and international projects of strategic relevance.

INCD is the evolution of the National Grid Infrastructure (INGRID) established in 2006. It provides a wider range of solutions including Cloud, Grid, HPC, HTC and data oriented services. INCD is part of the Portuguese Science Foundation Research Infrastructures Roadmap.

This infrastructure is integrated in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid WLCG, and in the Iberian Grid Initiative IBERGRID which provides a common technical and administrative framework for the joint Portuguese and Spanish participation in the European Grid Initiative EGI.

The technical coordination of the infrastructure is performed by LIP.
